BJJ Junior U10
The Kimekai U10 BJJ Program is designed to develop your child’s fitness levels, social skills, confidence and growth mindset through learning and applying skills needed in Brazilian jiu jitsu (BJJ). Students work on controlling positions, escaping and protecting themselves. This is achieved with the use of martial arts concepts and activities.
Classes are 45 minutes and are designed for each student to progress at their own pace, focused on building foundation strengths and coordination as well as developing confidence and skill.
BJJ Junior U14
The Kimekai U14 BJJ Program is designed to develop the growth mindset towards learning, teamwork, confidence and physical fitness. Students learn the value of hard work and see their results on the mats. At this level students focus on controlling positions, escaping, staying safe and basic submissions.
Classes are 45 minutes and are designed for each student to progress at their own pace, focused on increasing strengths and coordination as well as developing confidence, skills and leadership.
A no-nonsense approach to ground fighting and competition BJJ. Under direct affiliation with Chief Instructor Peter deBeen, classes focus both on traditional BJJ as well as no Gi ground fighting.
Students will be able to compete at the highest level of BJJ competition and having access to the latest and most effective training methods.
MMA / Kickboxing
You don’t need to fight to train like a fighter. Kimekai MMA uses techniques from Muay Thai, Kick Boxing and Grappling to develop all aspects of physical fitness for men and women. Classes are supervised by of Ed Bavelock, former US Kickboxing Champion.
Aimed at both men and women over 14 years and above, the K.O. Kickboxing Program is the ultimate physical challenge.
Based on the training regime of world class Boxing and Kickboxing champions, the program will gradually develop all aspects of physical fitness as well as increase confidence and mental toughness.
Students will become skilled in a variety of hand and leg techniques as well as the most effective striking and blocking combinations. There will be the opportunity to progress working both with striking pads as well as with individual partners work
